In total, there were 261 films that marked the various sections of the festival, which in 2020, brought its National Competition to theaters in Vila do Conde, Lisbon, Porto, and Faro. A decision that reaffirmed the festival's commitment to the movie theater and support for national production and the short film format as a space for discovery and experimentation.

Loop Studio created a narrative inspired by the journey that took the films from north to south of the country, resulting in a visual exploration of the northern wind through images of auroras borealis.
