The Festival of the Song is an annual competition promoted by RTP since 1964 with the aim of selecting a song for the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2018, 26 composers were invited to present a song that could be performed by themselves or by a selected artist. Loop was the studio chosen by RTP for producing micro-programs about each of the performers from the two semi-finals of the 2018 Festival of the Song. In total, 26 micro-programs were produced with interviews of 27 performers aired on the "Praça" and "Agora Nós" shows on RTP1.
